A few years ago, we bought a 100-year-old Colonial home, and since then
I've been transforming the front lawn into a garden. As I designed each flower bed myself, I realized that many of the gardens I admired were created for a different climate, architecture, and way of living. Instead of trying to recreate them, I developed my own approach.

Today, I call it the Colonial Cottage Garden™.
